GOLF
We believe every child should have the opportunity to experience the game of golf in a welcoming and supportive environment. Whether your child is picking up a club for the first time or looking to develop their skills, this program is designed to introduce young athletes to the fundamentals of golf in a fun, no-pressure setting.
Our program is open to all skill levels, from beginners to more experienced players. With guidance from dedicated coaches and a team-focused atmosphere, kids of all ages can enjoy learning the game, building confidence, and making new friends on the course.
Program Details
Instruction takes place at Tower Tee and is run by St. Louis Golf Lessons. Boys and girls in grades 2 - 8 are eligible. Golf is a spring sport, typically starting in early April.
Grades 2-4
WHAT TO EXPECT
In these grades, the focus is on instruction, covering driving range practice, short game, putting, and etiquette.
PRACTICES
Practice commitment is one night a week for 4 weeks.
GAMES & SEASON DETAILS
For this age group, there are no games, only instructional sessions.
REGISTRATION FEE
EQUIPMENT
$110 (Family Fee not applicable for golf)
A full set of golf clubs is not required. A wood, iron, and putter will suffice for instructional practice.
UNIFORM
There is not a uniform requirement for this age group and can wear what they please to practices.
Grades 5-8
WHAT TO EXPECT
This group emphasizes instruction and competition, welcoming all skill levels in a supporting learning environment. No experience needed.
PRACTICES
Practice commitment is one night a week for 3 weeks, followed by competition rounds.
GAMES & SEASON DETAILS
Competition rounds typically begin at the end of April and include 9 hole competitions. There are 6 weeks of matches followed by districts and the CYC championship (must quality for districts & CYC final for additional weeks of play).

EQUIPMENT
$195 (Family Fee not applicable for golf) + team collared shirt available for purchase (if not using one from previous year).
A full set of golf clubs is not required. A wood, iron, and putter will suffice for instructional practice. It is recommended this group have a more complete set, or starter set. inclusive of a wood, 5/7/9 iron, wedge, and putter, but not required.
UNIFORM
While there is not a uniform requirement for practices, golf attire is required for competition matches. For boys, church pants or shorts + team polo. For girls, church pants, shorts, or golf skirt + team polo.
Misc. Information
There is a Rules & Etiquette slideshow that must be completed by both parents and players. The emphasis of this program is on letting the player play, figuring it out on their own during competition rounds. Parents are not allowed to give instruction or help out any more than looking for a ball or helping with a ruling if they are familiar with the game.
